I just got home from an amazing tour experience with my friends, Bon Iver. We were lucky enough to have great California weather which allowed us to train outside almost every day! When we weren’t able to enjoy the sunshine, we would find a room or space in the venue to workout in. The workouts were always super upbeat, energetic, and fun. Here are some of the photos from tour!

Yesterday, October 11, 2012, was a special day to me and many other people! Not only was it 10-11-12, which only happens once in a lifetime, BUT it was also National Coming Out Day!! Woop! Go Gays! My school, and many others around the country, celebrated it by hosting an Amateur Drag Show! It was the 3rd time they had put one on and I really wanted to go! I knew my lab assistant, Todd, was going to be hosting the show and so I wanted to go support him. Luckily my mom and sister were very excited to come with me, and my dear friend, Anne and her father joined us, too. The event was free but tips were encouraged. I brought my dollar bills from waitressing tips was excited to stick them up some guy’s dress. When Todd came out in a ridiculous dress and gold eye shadow, I knew this was going to be an unforgettable night. I went up to stage to give him a tip and he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek! I can honestly say that was one of the best nights of my life, I wish everyday was as rainbow colored as last night was.
PS that was the first time a drag queen has ever talked to me, I feel pretty special haha
